TOUR BY DATE

DAY 1

Travel to the Kalahari Desert to experience the red dunes, fauna and flora of the area on an optional nature drive.


DAY 2

Visit the timeless Garas quiver tree forest before heading to your lodge near the Fish River Canyon, to explore on foot, or enjoy an optional guided nature drive.[B]


DAY 3

View the Fish River Canyon before continuing past the Naute Dam, with a stop at a distillery for an optional tasting. Proceed to Lüderitz via Garub, viewing point for the Wild Horses of the Namib Desert. [B]



 

DAY 4

Visit Kolmanskop, a deserted diamond mining town in the Sperrgebiet National Park. On return, stop at Diaz Point, overlooking the Atlantic Ocean, for an optional oyster tasting. Afternoon is at leisure. [B]

 

DAY 5

After breakfast, travel along the Tiras Mountain range to your lodge in the Namib Desert, located near the gateway to Sossusvlei. Afternoon is at leisure. [B]

DAY 6

Enter the Namib-Naukluft National Park at sunrise to capture its surreal landscapes on camera. Walk up one of the majestic dunes. Visit the Deadvlei then Sesriem Canyon. [B]

DAY 7

After breakfast, continue to Walvis Bay to view thousands of flamingos at a World Heritage Site. Scenic drive via Gaub and Kuiseb Canyons to Swakopmund. Afternoon is at leisure. [B]

DAY 8

Embrace the relaxed pace of Swakopmund. Peruse its many cafés or explore its rugged surroundings on a day tour, scenic flight or adventure activity (optional & for own account). [B]

 

DAY 9


Head to Damaraland, home of the elusive desert elephant and black rhino. View ancient rock art at Twyfelfontein and the Petrified Forest. Visit the Living Museum of the Damara. [B]



DAY 10


After breakfast, travel to your camp just outside the Etosha National Park and explore the park on a guided safari (closed vehicle). [B]



DAY 11

Spend the day seeking out abundant wildlife, including giraffe, blue wildebeest, hyena, kudu, eland and more (closed vehicle). [B]

DAY 12


Enjoy a guided game drive (closed vehicle) to encounter animal species at different waterholes. Spend the afternoon at leisure at the lodge. Optional open vehicle game drive for own account. [B]



DAY 13


After breakfast, travel back to Windhoek. Stop en-route in Okahandja or the craft market in Windhoek (time permitting). Disembark at your accommodation or the airport. [B]
